Well, Michael, I guess you have no better idea that I have whether this is a big deal or not.

The way I read the warnings, there could be thousands of Joomla sites worldwide that have escaped updating, hacked by the weekend. Then there'll be a cuffuffle!

But then again, it may nor be as bad as that.

Anyway, I'll be up and at it at 1.00am tomorrow. However, I'm really expecting it to be an anti-climax.

J! 3.4.5 has been released . This is what the Joomla website says:

This is a security release for the 3.x series of Joomla which addresses a critical security vulnerability. We strongly recommend that you update your sites immediately. This release only contains the security fixes; no other changes have been made compared to the Joomla 3.4.4 release.

The most important change is to address the potential for hackers to exploit an SQL Injection (affecting J! 3.2 through 3.4.4). Better to be on the safe site (especially after I had one of my websites hacked and destroyed a couple of weeks ago).

I had no problems updating all my J! 3.x websites.

I have one client who saves money by getting a once annual Joomla update and so I'm keen to see if multiple sites are hacked in the coming week or so.

Like you Michael, I'm secure. Did a dozen sites in the small hours with the preparation done earlier.
